Samantha Goland, LCSW-S, QS
You’re the one everyone counts on, but inside, you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, and exhausted from holding it all together. Maybe you’re moving through a breakup, feeling stuck in burnout, or quietly questioning who you are beneath everyone’s expectations. You might notice the anxiety, the numbness, or the tension that never seems to fade—a body that’s been in survival mode for too long. More than anything, you just want to feel grounded again. To slow down. To breathe. To finally feel safe being yourself.
I work with women and older teens, who are ready to move through burnout, anxiety, and major life transitions. My approach blends somatic therapy, EMDR, and nervous system work to help you reconnect with your body, understand your patterns, and find steadiness within yourself.
If you’ve been carrying too much for too long, you deserve a space that feels soft, steady, and real. I’ll meet you exactly where you are—no pressure, no performance, just space to be human. You’re not too much, and you’re not too late. You don’t have to hold it all alone anymore.
Meet Your Therapist:
Path to Healing and Growth Through Connection

I’m just like the women I work with—human. I’ve moved through my own mix of beautiful and challenging seasons, and those experiences have shaped the way I hold space for others.
In my early 20s, I packed my schedule with commitments, goals, and expectations—constantly trying to keep up with everything and everyone. When I finally slowed down, I’d find myself scrolling late into the night, searching for a sense of relief. My friends used to call me a true moonchild—always thinking, always feeling deeply, and always trying to hold it all together under the glow of the moon.
Over time, I learned that being a moonchild wasn’t something to fix. It simply meant I was sensitive, driven, and learning how to care for myself in new ways. That awareness guided me to this work.
I created Moonchild Counseling as a warm, grounding space for women navigating the transitions of life—whether that’s finding your footing in adulthood, managing anxiety, or rediscovering who you are beneath all the expectations. My role is to help you reconnect with yourself, create balance, and find a genuine sense of peace within the chaos of becoming.
My approach
I provide trauma-informed, somatic, and evidence-based therapy tailored for women 15 and up. My work focuses on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions while reconnecting with their bodies and cultivating emotional resilience. Each session is designed to be a safe, supportive space where you can be seen, heard, and guided toward meaningful growth.
Education & Training
I earned my Master of Social Work and Certificate in Family Practice from Tulane University. Over my career, I’ve worked in diverse settings—including emergency rooms, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive in-home programs, and outpatient clinics—addressing critical issues like human trafficking, domestic violence, child abuse, and family challenges. These experiences have equipped me with the knowledge and strategies to support clients effectively in individual therapy.
